STUDY OF THE DEVELOPMENT LEVEL OF COMMUNICATIVE PROPENSITY IN STUDENTS AND NURSES

Abstract

Communicative competence is the result of interpersonal interaction and is acquired throughout a person’s life. It plays an important role in professional activity and is one of the components of readiness for it. The modern level of nursing development requires professional and personal success from nurses, which would ensure the implementation of the nursing process at a high level. Established psychological contact with the patient results in a successful outcome of nursing care. The low level of a nurse’s communication makes impossible the effectiveness of professional activity. The article presents the acquisition of key communicative competences by students while the studying process at a medical college and their improvement by working nurses through constant self-education, self-improvement and communicative interaction of all participants in the nursing process. In the article are shown results of determining the level of development of communicative and organizational tendencies in working medical students and nurses. It is noted that nurses have a higher level of manifestation of such tendencies compared with senior students, and proves the need for the development of key competencies at the initial stage of becoming a nurse, that is, in college students.
