GENERAL THEORY OF MOVEMENTS AND ACTIONS

Abstract

The paper discusses movements and actions, levels of movement regulation, the role of pyramidal and extrapyramidal systems in the formation of movements and actions. Disturbances of movements depending on a place of defeat of a nervous system are noted. The characteristics of different forms of apraxia are given. It is noted that the regulation of movements is not only a multilevel system, where each level is characterized by “leading afferentation” and its own set of regulated movements (according to Bernstein NA), but also a multi-vector, multidirectional system. It is believed that the functioning of the system of movements and actions requires motivation, thought process, memory of the usual program of movements and actions, attention, internal speech, and the implementation and control of movements and actions is according to the laws of fractal geometry (chaos theory).
